Navajo County's Justice Courts
Navajo County has six justice courts running north to south through the county, from the Holbrook and Winslow area down through Snowflake and Show Low into the White Mountains. All six keep the same hours.
Much of northern Navajo County lies within tribal land, where jurisdiction can work differently. If the property sits on the Navajo Nation or the Hopi Reservation, check before assuming a state justice court is the right venue.
A landlord and tenant case here is normally heard in the justice court for the precinct the property sits in. Above the justice courts' civil jurisdiction limit it belongs in the superior court instead, and below that limit the two share it. The Navajo County Superior Court is at 100 East Code Talkers Drive in Holbrook, and the Holbrook justice court is on West Buffalo Street a few minutes away. Same county seat, different buildings.
